Blog: Social networking sites


Facebook is by far my favorite social networking sites. Upon visiting the sites, you can post a status update. You can also post pictures and videos and go through other people’s profiles seeing their latest activity, recently visited places, or anything that was on their mind. You can also scroll through Facebook and have many interested and funny videos on your page, as well as many news articles and videos regarding Trump and other countries. Twitter is very different, where you can only post a “Status” by tweeting your thoughts, or responding to other people’s tweets. Snapchat is really cool because you can post 10 second pictures and videos on what you are doing right now, whether its going to the gym, going out with your friends, or traveling to Mexico. It keeps you up to date on what all your friends are currently doing. These snapchats go away after 24 hours. Instagram is another popular social networking site where you can post videos and pictures. It is only used for pictures and videos, and you can scroll through your news feed to keep yourself up to date with all your friends lives on the day to day. Facebook is by far the most popular site, as you have a lot of different options to do different things on the site. I am not a big fan of twitter and don’t really like the app. Instagram and snapchat are two social networking sites that I use on the day to day and am really fond of.

The internet has changed the way we approach life. Old media, such as newspapers and traditional books have become outdated by new innovations in the new media, such as online newspapers and digital books. Virtual worlds can help people feel comfortable and connected.
